Meet Ravijoyla (Равијојла), the most famous vila from Serbian epic poetry.
⛰️ Her home is on Mount Miroch, among oaks and beeches. She flew over the golden treetops, collected healing herbs, and carried a bow and quiver of arrows.
🧚🏼♀️According to one version, her name itself refers to her lush wings.
👑In folk song, she is the posestrima Kraљeviћa Marka. One day, out of pride, she wounded Miloš Obiliћa: he sang more beautifully than she. Then she healed him with herbs from Miroch.
✨Vilas in Serbian folklore are beautiful, proud, and dangerous if touched. They are faithful sisters to their brothers.
❤️🔥I dressed my beauty in light clothes typical of the Vilas, but I grounded her a bit, bringing her look closer to a traditional Serbian costume, which captured the fairytale quality and beauty of not only the Serbian epic but also traditional clothing, which so vividly demonstrates the rich culture of all Southern Slavs!✨
🥻The outfit, or rather the vest, skirt, and shirt, were sewn by the wonderful Alla Samerkhanova 😍❤️🔥 Just look at this luxury! Alla sews beautifully!❤️🔥 I only modestly embroidered the vest with gold 😊
The doll is also made by me from Parian porcelain and stretched on springs. It stands 28 cm tall and has 27 joints. The body features a hidden painting, stylized as Serbian embroidery.
When creating this doll, I delved deeply into Serbian traditions, reproducing the shoes and the possible mythological image of the mystical maiden.
