Lady of Lake 🌿

This doll was the first in my series. I created her with the support of my mentor, Klavdiya Marlenovna. She is cast from my molds, taken from a master model made of Ladoll. The Lady of the Lake is cast from high-quality, premium Parian porcelain by Valentine Clay. Her body parts are strung on elastic cords.

I was inspired to create this beautiful nymph by the Arthurian Legend. That is why I named the doll the Lady of the Lake, or Nimue. Her costume was sewn by the craftswoman Olga Carmen based on my sketch, striving to reflect my idea of realizing the depth of the image of the Lady of the Lake—the foster mother of Lancelot and the guardian of the legendary sword Excalibur. The image of fairies in folklore is very ancient, which is why the costume combines Eastern and European motifs. Her veil symbolizes water, and the costume showcases her eroticism, because the Otherworld—the world of elves and fairies—is mysterious and, at the same time, seductive in its mystery...

Work in progress ❤️

First, I drew a sketch of the doll. The symbols on her body represent the power of life and fertility. Then molds were taken from my master model, and only after that were the porcelain parts for the Lady of the Lake cast. The complex stage of processing the greenware was complicated by the fact that the parts were small and thin. It was truly delicate, jewelry-like work!

Then came the firings, the painting, and finally, the inlaying of the eyes with UV-cured acrylic resin. Attaching the wig was the final stage in completing Nimue's body.
